Testing power supply +15v is not near +15v enough?

Discuss Yocto construction and related issues
  • where are you measuring this?
    after the 15V regulator?
  • I have measured this when i placed all components on the power board. I also tested the voltage on the main board when the powerboard was attached and with the NOISE IC, there i had a reading of around 13+V
  • what do you get on the -15v ? do you have a AC/AC wallwart or AC/DC ?
  • On -15v i get no reading and i do have an AC adapter (90 VAC to 264 VAC, 135 VDC to 370 VDC)
  • i have the same problem, i built the power supply, 13.7 von +15, 5 on +5 and 0 on -15
searching the forums i found someone that had the same problem, same numbers and a wrong wall wart... important is not the input, but the output, it has to be 15V AC
  • @ Data Jam, did you fix it already? New powersupply then?!
  • checked my wallmart; output is 15V 1.0A, 15W Max. AND is a switching power supply would that be problem too?
  • i did buy i new one, but didn't get it yet..

what is your output? 15V AC or 15V DC ?

    AC is sometimes shown as:
    ~

    DC like this:
    __
    ---
  • too bad. checked mine and it is actually DC! Now i also know what AC and DC looks like in a pictogram ;-)
What do you still need to find out for fixing your problem? New resistors?
