My yocto build with wooden sides

Hi all,

I finished my yocto and wanted to share pics of the results.

Kacper's case with the IEC socket and http://www.partco.biz/verkkokauppa/prod ... s_id=15484 as a toroidal transformer. I soldered one of the step buttons tiny bit off and had to file the case little bit, so be extra careful while soldering the buttons.

Wooden sides are custom made; I bought beech from IKEA ;-) and used CNC machine to carve into shape. Two layers of clear wood oil.

I still have trouble getting the cowbell as high as it should be. Sounds more like Gb -note, than Ab. Otherwise I'm pretty happy with the results.

Looking good! I have a wood sided Yocto as well. I can't solder if my life depended on it, so I bought a wonderful prebuilt machine from gihaume. I hope he gets into building Nava's as well. :D

really nice knob choice - possible if you can tell me where to get them all?

*my guess is these are the Cliff knobs - http://www.conrad.com/ce/en/product/704 ... l?ref=list
and the others are from Davies? http://www.e-licktronic.com/en/yocto-ki ... -knob.html

I like those a lot too! Not original style, but they feel good and I like the look.

I don't remember where I got the switch knobs..I'm also thinking of changing them to something else.

Cool, thanks for the response - i think they are indeed the cliff ones. Can you tell/show me if they hang very high from the frontpanel or are they pretty flush. Thinking of getting one of those Kacper™ cases
