Background Hum/Noise and Background Pattern
Posted: Jan 15th, '15, 15:06
Two problems I'm struggling with:
1. Background hums and noises - I'm having noticeable
hums and noises on some instruments, not all,
it is created mainly by BD, SD, LT/LC, MT/MC, HT/HC - hums
and CP -noise
especially MT/MC hum is loud
other instruments have acceptable hum/noise,
each of above instrument makes hum in its own tune
on its individual output and summary of them on master output,
it is obvious that analogue machines do make hums and noises
but I think these are to big
to illustrate this problem I recorded below track,
on the beginning I keep individual levels down and then I turn them up
one by one in order BD, SD, LT/LC, MT/MC, HT/HC, CP
then back down,
for illustration purpose I increased master volume on my mixer to max
(sequencer is in STOP mode)
Is it matter of low quality components?
what has to be changed to fix it?
or maybe there is some other issue?
MT/MC makes hum really audible
2. Background Pattern
I'm not sure if that's created by sequencer
or by individual instruments,
it happen on other machines/sequencers/midi
but on my Yocto it is too audible,
I'm talking about "signal" trigged on every (16) step on pattern
which I can hear in background,
I can normally edit notes on pattern without problem,
this just sits in the background all time
again not all instruments involved in this problem
mainly CB, MT/MC, LT/LC, SD, BD
and again most noticeable on MT/MC !!
below sample recording
it is EMPTY pattern - no notes edited on it,
as previously on the beginning I keep levels down
and then I turn them up
one by one in order CB, MT/MC, LT/LC, SD, BD
- then back down,
volume on my mixer on max
(sequencer in PLAY mode)
I have no idea how to fix it
even where to search for solution?
(sequencer? master? instruments?)
