I'm building the Yocto 2 kit in the next couple of weeks and I'm interested in the source code of the Yocto 2.0 Hardware to experiment and possibly contribute. Is the source code publicly available like the Yocto version 1 is? If not, what is the licensing? Can it be put up on Github/Gitlab?
Thanks,

Source Code for Yocto 2.0 Hardware
I second this request. It would be super awesome to have an open source approach here. Official version control shouldn't be an issue with Github, etc.
Yes, as a result there will be alternative versions out in the world once it's released, but that can only be beneficial to the project. Let those versions be free to run naked and wild through the woods.
That's my view anyway

Yes, please release the source code.
Hello, I have the source code for the original YOCTO and modified it quite a bit for my own purposes. Could we please get the source code for the YOCTO 2 as well? I would like to add backup to USB or MicroSD as well as a few other options.
Thanks,
Jeff
