Slightly unrelated but I noticed the same problem with another analog drumbox I have. It's very silent on its own, but when I tried triggering it from my PC I got a big fat 50Hz from the outputs. This makes me think it's a ground loop problem in my studio, not in the device itself. In this case, an isolation transformer or passive DI would help.
