Re: Sounds Different when Using External Midi
I've been trying to get this right myself since I built my Yocto2 about a year ago. This issue was not present on the Yocto1, so I'm hoping a solution is possible. I scoped the triggers a bit when I was trying to figure out if it was a build error or firmware glitch, and the triggers are actually di...

Re: FS: Korg Minilogue for Yocto 808
I don't know what the prices are like over there, but here in the States I would say a well built, nice looking Yocto is worth a lot more than even a brand new Minilogue. The synth would barely cover the cost of parts, if even that.

Re: Yocto EXPANDER mode problem
Is your accent level up? I've noticed when using my MPC to control the Yocto in expander mode that the accent is what controls the velocity sensitivity, and if it is up all the way and if you are sending max velocity signals, everything will be louder because it's got full accent on every note.

Re: Help! In the middle of a build - can anyone tell me...
I don't have a multimeter that is accurate enough for the noise section, so I just installed a trimmer instead of that resistor (can't remember the number, but it's the one with all the suggestions) and trimmed it to taste. You can do it by ear if you've got good recordings of an 808 to compare to.

Re: Potentiometers yocto
The pots come included with the half kit. I'm not sure where you could find them otherwise, they're not like any pots I've used before on other DIY projects. Same with the colored switches.

Re: Problem with Hi Conga (tom works fine)
Thanks for the reply. I already checked all the components and they're correct. The tuning knob has no effect when switched to conga, which seems odd. I just don't know where to even start looking. I've gone over the schematics, but I'm not good enough to get any ideas from it.

Problem with Hi Conga (tom works fine)
Hello. I've gotten my Yocto built and calibrated and everything works great and sounds fantastic except for the Hi Conga. The High Tom works just fine, but when I flick the switch to the conga a weird noise starts and any selected steps on the pattern become a very loud snapping sound. The volume po...

I'm very interested but would like to see the prototype first. Looking forward to updates.

Controlling Pattern Selection and more with MIDI
I haven't gotten to build my Yocto yet, but I was wondering if it was possible to send pattern change messages via MIDI. Perhaps the different patterns could be assigned to keys on the keyboard, so I could sequence them in order with my MPC. Being able to do something similar with mute and solo woul...
